Why are CUET scores not comparable across universities?

Each university computes its own programme-specific total from the normalised scores of the subjects that programme requires. Delhi University mostly uses a total out of 1,000, Allahabad University adds language plus the best domain subject plus General Test for a maximum of 750, and BHU's computed score varies by programme combination — science programmes reach the mid-600s, arts programmes the mid-300s. A 550 at one university is not the same as a 550 at another.

Why does this article have no cutoff table for Central University of South Bihar?

Because no round-wise 2026 UG cutoff table for CUSB could be verified. The official 1st-cutoff PDF exists on cusb.ac.in but could not be extracted, a direct fetch of the site failed, and the tracker ranges that circulate match the 2025 values almost exactly. Only one 2026 figure was verified: B.Sc, General category, 95, in Round 4. Publishing a table built on 2025 data labelled as 2026 would be fabrication, so this article does not do it.

Why do some top DU programmes have no Round 3 value?

Because they filled in Round 1 or Round 2 and had no Round 3 allotment. That is not missing data. CUET closing scores fall across rounds, so a programme's closing score is the last round in which it still had seats — for SRCC B.Com (Hons), that is Round 2 (923.84).

Why are Allahabad University cutoffs given as ranges?

Because the university itself publishes them as ranges (for example 438.37–440). The lower bound is the round's closing score and the upper bound is the top of that round's admitted range. This article keeps the ranges as published rather than reducing them to a single number.

Are these the final closing scores?

For Delhi University and BHU, yes — both finished counselling in August (DU with a final Spot Round and no mop-up; BHU with four regular rounds plus two spot rounds). For Allahabad University, the latest verified round is the B.Com 20th merit list of 2 September; later rounds, if any, are unverified. For CUSB and MGCU, later rounds after the ones reported here are unverified.

Why did BHU cutoffs rise in 2026 while DU's fell at the college compared?

The two are not directly comparable. BHU's trend is a full round-by-round comparison across many programmes (every programme rose against 2025), while DU's trend is a single-college Round 3 comparison at Motilal Nehru College, where 2026 scores fell. Different universities, different applicant pools, different scales — and for DU only one college had both years' Round 3 values available.
