How adaptive modules work
The first module in each section contains a broad mix of easy, medium and hard questions. Your performance in Module 1 determines whether Module 2 is routed to a relatively higher- or lower-difficulty set. The sections are adaptive at the module level, not question-by-question.
Calculator on SAT Math
Calculator use is allowed throughout the Math section. Bluebook includes an embedded calculator, and you may also bring an acceptable calculator under current College Board rules.
Is there negative marking?
There is no traditional per-question penalty that subtracts points for a wrong answer. College Board advises students to answer every question to the best of their ability; digital SAT scoring also considers question characteristics and response patterns.
