Is JEE Main 2027 eligibility released?

JEE Main age limit

2026 reference: NTA stated that there was no age limit for appearing in JEE Main 2026, while candidates still had to satisfy any age rules of the institute they wanted to join. The 2027 bulletin must confirm whether this continues.

Class 12 passing-year eligibility

2026 reference: candidates who first passed Class 12/equivalent in 2024 or 2025, or were appearing in 2026, could appear in JEE Main 2026. If NTA continues the same three-year pattern, 2025, 2026 and 2027 would be the likely eligible years for JEE Main 2027, but this is expected and not official until the 2027 bulletin says so.

75% / top 20 percentile rule for NIT+ admission

Do not confuse eligibility to appear in JEE Main with eligibility for admission to the NIT+ system.

2026 reference: for NIT+ admissions, the bulletin stated at least 75% aggregate in five Class 12 subjects, with 65% for SC, ST and PwD candidates, OR category-wise top 20 percentile in the relevant board. JoSAA/CSAB can modify admission rules, so the 2027 counselling rules must be checked separately.
