How to use this checklist
This checklist has three parts: what to upload in the application, what to carry on exam day, and what universities ask for at admission verification. The three lists are different — a certificate you upload for the application (like a category certificate) is not always something you carry to the exam hall, and the admit card exists only after you apply.

CUET UG — exam day (2026 guidelines)
Source: NTA exam-day guidelines for CUET UG 2026, as reported by Sciastra, JagranJosh and Zollege. CUET UG is a computer-based test. Entry is barred without the admit card and the self-declaration, and biometric verification is compulsory before entry.
| Document / item | Details (2026) |
|---|---|
| CUET admit card (with self-declaration/undertaking) | Printed on A4 paper, clear and legible; the self-declaration printed with the admit card must be duly filled and signed. Carry 2 copies if you can — one tracker advises 2, another 1; the admit card itself is mandatory. |
| Passport-size photograph | One (some trackers advise two) — same photograph as uploaded in the application form, for pasting on the attendance sheet. |
| Original valid photo ID | Any one, original and valid: Aadhaar (with photograph), e-Aadhaar with photograph, PAN card, passport, voter ID, driving licence, school identity card, Class 12 board admit card with photograph, or bank passbook with photograph. Carry the same ID you uploaded during registration. |
| PwD / PwBD certificate | Original, from an authorised medical officer — only if claiming relaxation under the PwD/PwBD category. |
| Transparent ballpoint pen | Permitted; rough sheets are provided at the centre — do not carry your own paper. |
| Transparent water bottle | Permitted at most centres. |
Photocopies and screenshots of ID documents are rejected at the gate — only originals count. If there is an error on the admit card (wrong name, date of birth, photograph or subject), email the NTA helpdesk with proof before the exam date; do not wait until exam day.
Banned at the centre: mobile phones, smartwatches and fitness bands, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, calculators, geometry boxes, handbags and purses, any paper or stationery, textual material, eatables (except diabetic essentials such as sugar tablets or fruit), metallic items and any electronic gadget. Candidates wearing religious attire or articles of faith are permitted but should report early for additional security checks. Heavy jewellery, metallic accessories, caps and scarves should be avoided; simple clothes and half-sleeve shirts are advised.
CUET UG — admission and counselling verification
After the CUET UG results, each participating university conducts its own counselling or admission round. There is no single central counselling for CUET UG. The list below is standard university practice as reported by trackers — the university's own admission notice is authoritative, and its deadlines and document list override this general list.
| Document | Details |
|---|---|
| CUET UG scorecard | Downloaded from the NTA portal after results |
| Class 10 marksheet and certificate | Original + photocopy; proof of date of birth |
| Class 12 marksheet and passing certificate | Original + photocopy; final admission is subject to submitting the passing certificate during counselling |
| Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) | Original + photocopy, issued by the competent government authority; only if reservation was claimed |
| PwBD certificate | Original + photocopy, if applicable |
| Photo ID proof | Original + photocopy (Aadhaar, PAN, passport, voter ID or driving licence) |
| Passport-size photographs | Recent, same as the application where the university asks for them |
| Transfer / migration certificate and character certificate | As asked by the university's admission notice |
Keep originals and a set of photocopies ready before the university's counselling starts — verification windows are short, and a missing original can cost the seat. If any document has a name or date-of-birth mismatch with your CUET application, get it corrected before counselling, not during it.

Frequently asked questions
Are these the CUET UG 2027 document requirements?
No — not yet. The CUET UG 2027 information bulletin has not been released. Every specification in this article is from the 2026 bulletin and is labelled 2026 throughout. File sizes, formats and the exam-day list usually stay the same year to year, but they can change — re-check the 2027 bulletin on cuet.nta.nic.in before you upload anything.
Can I use a photocopy of my Aadhaar on exam day?
No. Only originals are accepted as identity proof — photocopies and screenshots of ID documents are rejected at the gate. Carry one original from the accepted list: Aadhaar, PAN, passport, voter ID, driving licence, school identity card, Class 12 board admit card with photograph, or bank passbook with photograph. NTA also instructs candidates to carry the same ID proof that was uploaded during registration.
Do I need a live photo as well as an uploaded photo?
Yes, under the 2026 rules. The application asks for a scanned passport-size photograph (10-200 KB) and also captures a live photograph on the portal while you fill the form. The live photo must closely match the uploaded photo — a mismatch can delay the admit card, so use a recent photo that still looks like you.
What if my name or photo on the admit card is wrong?
Do not wait until exam day. Email the NTA helpdesk with proof (for example, an Aadhaar copy) for a wrong name or date of birth, and contact the NTA helpline with your application number for a blurred or missing photograph. The helpline number and email are published on the admit card itself and on cuet.nta.nic.in. You can still appear with a discrepancy on the card, but you must follow up with NTA before the admission process begins.
Which documents do universities ask for at admission after CUET results?
Each participating university runs its own counselling or admission round and publishes its own document list, but the standard list is: CUET scorecard, Class 10 marksheet (date of birth), Class 12 marksheet and passing certificate, category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) if you claimed reservation, PwBD certificate if applicable, and a valid photo ID — originals plus photocopies. Check the specific university's admission notice; it is authoritative over any general list.
Is there an age limit for CUET UG?
No. NTA prescribes no upper age limit for CUET UG (2026 rules, tracker-reported). The minimum age, if any, is set by the participating university for its own courses — check the university's eligibility rules for the course you want.
