How to use these checklists
Each section below has two lists: what to upload or keep ready for the application, and what to carry on exam day. The two lists are different — a document you uploaded for the application (like a category certificate) is not always something you carry to the exam hall, and the admit card exists only after you apply.

Frequently asked questions
Are these the 2027 document lists?
For CTET and GATE 2027, yes — those cycles are already running and their documents are from the current notices and brochure. For NEET UG and JEE Main, no: the 2027 bulletins are not out yet, so those two sections use the latest published (2026) bulletins and every item is labelled 2026. Re-check the 2027 bulletin on neet.nta.nic.in or jeemain.nta.ac.in before you apply — sizes and formats can change.
What is the one document I must not forget on any exam day?
The printed admit card, plus one original photo ID. Every exam in this article bars entry without the admit card, and every one requires an original photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, passport, voter ID or driving licence). A photocopy of the ID is not accepted as the ID itself.
Can I use a photocopy of my Aadhaar instead of the original?
No. The exam-day lists in this article all require an original, valid photo ID. A masked or e-Aadhaar printout is reported as accepted for Bihar Board, but for the NTA exams (NEET, JEE, GATE) and CTET, carry the original card. If your original is lost, get a replacement or carry another original ID from the accepted list.
My photo on the admit card does not match me any more. What do I do?
Use the same photograph you uploaded in the application form — that is what the admit card and attendance sheet are checked against. For CTET, the bulletin says to contact the CTET Unit at once (011-24050477) if your name, photo or signature does not match your confirmation page. For NTA exams, use the correction window when it is open; after it closes, contact the exam helpline on the official portal.
Do I need my Class 10 certificate for JEE Main?
Yes, at the application stage: the JEE Main 2026 bulletin required uploading the Class 10 certificate or marks-sheet as a PDF (10-300 KB) as proof of date of birth. Keep the original ready for counselling and admission verification as well.
